n 1943, Anthony “Mr. Swift” Sodora started a small family business that has grown and prospered through three generations. August Sodora Sr. joined the business in 1950, later succeeding his father as President. August’s son, Augie Sodora Jr., also began at the company at an early age, working many summers in the warehouse and then full-time at the counter. Augie Jr. then took over as President and has carried the torch proudly by providing the highest level of customer service in the industry. Swift Electrical Supply Co. is a true family enterprise thriving on the values and principles put in place over 80 years ago.
Today, Swift has grown to four locations, selling to a diverse customer base of electrical contractors, architects, builders, commercial property managers, and local municipalities throughout the Tri-State area. Even with over 1,000 customers served each year, Swift has prided itself on knowing its customers by name and always going the extra mile. Swift still serves some of its original customers from its founding.
Owner and President Augie Sodora Jr. has felt that his family has been realizing the American Dream for over 80 years, and it had become time to find a new owner of the business who respected and honored the history and values that have allowed the company to thrive for so long.
The decision to sell my company after 50 years was difficult and emotional. Finding the right firm to represent the sale of the company was critical. Choosing that firm was easy. Highland’s unique approach to truly understand the business and to package that knowledge into an exciting offering was exceptional. They are consummate professionals at every level. They put together a fantastic video which told the Conproco story in an interesting, and memorable way. By generating serious interest from a group of potential buyers they were able to maintain control of the selling process and deliver a purchase price and terms that far exceeded my expectations.

Founder, Conproco
Highland partnered with Augie with the Sodora family’s legacy in mind. Our objective was to find the right next owner of the business—someone who would free Augie to move on to his next chapter personally, but also allow him to feel extremely confident that the company founded by his grandfather was in the right hands for the next 80 years.
